Almond butter is expensive, and recently I’ve been hooked on it. Therefore, Matt and I set out to make our own batch! We referred to this recipe and it turned out great. It’s quite the process (the oils slowly release, and you have to keep pressing down the almonds because they stick to the sides of the food processor), and we made currant cinnamon cornbread simultaneously to pass the time. The recipe says you can add honey or sea salt at the end, but we found it delicious plain.
After nearly a half hour, this is the end result!
Needless to say...it was delicious! SUCCESS!
