Round 1: Wapello, IA Round 2: Upham, ND
We just finished up our first week of round 3 in Willow River, Minnesota! My team is at an awesome camp, One Heartland, which runs various programs for different populations of kids. Most of our work will be helping out in the kitchen, landscaping, and various “in the background” projects. However, during the last week we will be counselors for a camp created for LGBTA youth. I am excited about this entire project and love it here already.

Another great plus about this project is it’s the first time a bike is available to use (the camp director is nice enough to share!). Today I went for a pleasant 22 mile bike ride going north towards other small towns and back. Tomorrow, we are spending our day off by going to Duluth, which is supposed to be a pretty awesome place. To celebrate the fact that there’s a bike to ride, I decided that I am going to arise at 6:30AM tomorrow and bike the 56 miles to Duluth…ending my journey at their 11:00AM farmers’ market. I am thinking of topping the day off with a glass of wine and a cheese plate. Here's photos from today's bike ride:

UPDATE: The Duluth bike ride was successful and I will write about it tomorrow!
