I only have three weeks and some change to spend in the United States and practice being present on the bicycle trip, so blogging has not been a priority (not to mention the lack of opportunity to have internet or the desire to sit behind a screen when there is much to explore). We are now in Lompac after having an unforgettable time in Big Sur (and all of the places we passed after that). Bicycling down the coast never seems to get old, and we have camped at beautiful locations, including Andrew Molera State Park, Kirk Creek Campground, and San Simeon State Park (in that order). My favorite spot may have been Kirk Creek Campground, because we got to pitch our tent so close to the ocean...although I should mention that the raccoons were quite aggressive. We will be at our final destination before we know it, and this trip has made me excited to do even more bicycle touring in the future.
I can't even begin to explain the amazing time that we have been having, but here's a quick photo dump of pictures before we hop back on our bicycles! It is apparent that George remembers to take pictures more than I do by the amount of pictures of just me, but I am trying to remember to capture the beauty!
Last month I was officially medically cleared for my Peace Corps service in Jamaica and everything is in order for my departure (besides packing my bags for the next two years) in March. But for now....back on my bicycle!
